I was wondering if there is any way to check if there are any closed flues in my heat ducts, they are drywalled over and I can not see the shut offs. There is very limited flow at the 2 farthest points from the furnace. Or is it just the distance? Would booster fans help with heating and a/c??

KG most likely it is mainly distance . The first 4 vents closest to the furnace get 80% of the airflow ( especially if their wide open ) . The rest of the vents share the other 20% and by the time you get to the ones furthest away you are lucky to have any airflow . Try figuring out where the furnace is located and start from that point and close the vents closest to the furnace 75 % and as you work out leave them open a little more till you get to the ones furthest away which should be wide open . This should help you distribute the air a little better. One other possible option is a vent booster Home depot carries called the ( Equalizer ) these sit ontop of the register and plug into a wall outlet and have a thermostat built in . I have sent many customers after them over the yeas and they have done the trick for 99% of them . They will pull up to 80% more air through vents that otherwise might not be getting much ( such as second floor vents in a 2 story house with the furnace in the basement ) .
