That's a nice birthday present. Best wishes!

Neat story on the dogs Duker,
I’m a believer of who is saving who.
I too would like to dump those people off to fend for themselves like they do a dog.
I get so pissed off when I hear about low life people dumping dogs in the middle of nowhere. Just take them to a shelter people! I would love to dump those same people out in the middle of the desert here and flip them off as I drive away.
Congrats on Tank!!
EDIT: I'm really glad you and Tank found each other.

Duke, great outcome. The dog knows he belongs with you, I like the dogs inside the truck pictures.
Nice arbor press!

The best part of my weekend was today as I was off of work and I picked up my birthday present to myself that was waiting at the freight terminal....
A new HE&M 260 BSA dual miter saw. I have been agonizing for a few months about the type of saw I wanted. My first choice was a used FMB but it sold before I could make up my mind. After researching what seemed like forever, the final two candidates were this saw and the Hyd-Mech DM 10. After seeing both saws in person I went with the HEM. Nothing wrong with the Hyd-Mech but I just liked the pivot mechanism and a few other features on this saw better for the way I work.
That *****.
Surprised they were not using a spotter. I bet there was a lot of finger pointing going on.
Ugh! Not a happy ending to THAT story.
I think you made the right decision in choosing the HE&M over the HYD-MECH. I've worked in the band saw blade industry at both the manufacturing and distribution levels for a combined total of 38 years. As such, I have a considerable amount of hands-on experience when it comes to the good, the bad, and the ugly, of band saw machine design and operation. For metalworking applications, the HE&M and BEHRINGER product lines are at the top of the heap. They're typically built to a higher standard of quality than the competition. I'd rank HYD-MECH at the lower middle of the pack.
It looks great! I’ve been trying to the green light to make my own forge here. I have a community college down the road that has a forge class. I’m really thinking of taking it. Seems like something that would be a lot of fun!

Duker
Sorry bout the tool crash. that's a shame.
Catching yup on your thread a bit.
We have a dropped off dog here at the party garage and she has turned into the most loved dog by all who visit.
She was about 3 months old when we saw her walking down the path. She looked like she hadn't eaten in a week. She jumped into my truck and immediately became my dog (She was the dog from hell) she destroyed everything in sight for about 2 years. We lived through it and love her dearly
She is very protective of her home which is nice.
Watching a son grow up and become skilled is very rewarding for a good dad congratulations
Don

Duker
They say bad things come in threes so you may be out of the woods now and on to better days.
The Vette is a joy to drive and I'm very happy with the outcome.
Thanks for checking on it
Bad things came in the "T"s for you
Tree, Tooth, Truck
Duker! I don't know if you should go buy life insurance or go buy a lotto ticket.
I gotta say I'm pretty impressed by your positive attitude, you kinda inspired me!
Damn Duke. I hope that streak is over for ya.
Geesh Duker WTF? tools crashing to the ground, trees falling, molars cracking and now an attempted truck theft?
Was it locked? At least they did not succeed in taking it.
Hope all works out for you.
John
Lol... I am glad it was just tooth and not teeth as I already have a face for radio...!

Holy ****! "When it rains it pours" hopefully you have had enough bad luck to last a while, only good times to come![]()

Then again I’m thrilled if someone would just hold the snakes head
Congrats on the good stuff and knock off the other already, you of all people sure don’t deserve it.![]()

Ok on the plus side I have a date... on the bad side you have even worse taste than me! If I may paraphrase WC Fields.... I would never date someone who would have me as his date!
Hey I hope the new job is going well. Have you sold your place yet?

Sorry to hear of all the unfortunate stuff, but as you said, you're still on the upside. Porch turned out well. Good luck with the sale and search for something different.
Sorry D, I missed this one.
Jobs alright, busier then a one armed paper hanger in a **** kicking contest...Um sumtin like dat.
Nope, haven’t even listed it yet. Not until the tools are out of the shop. But I moved into a building the first of this month and started relocating already. So soon.
Well congrats on putting the city pad up for sale. I wish you all lots of fortune with the sale and even more luck finding a new pad. We’ve looked at hundreds of homes and only found two recently that make the short list.
The porch looks insane, nice job as always. And last but not least, you completely **** on the recent tool snags. $35 for a SO cabinet...oh ya you **** a huge set on that one.![]()
Love the new name of the ranch “Rocky Creek Ranch.” The old porch looks freaking awesome![]()

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, you have Rocky Creek Ranch T-shirts? I want to buy one.![]()
Duke,
yes you **** on the blast cabinet.
I am jealous of the lift tables, I never thought of buying a non mobile one and making it portable. I have some 4 inches casters I could use that I got off of one of your AWD posts(thank you).
Hope the everyone is doing good.
What is it that appears right behind your control panel? looks partially unboxed?
Nice job on the control panel upgrade.
Porch looks great.
Like the name of your place as well.
John
That porch is stunning. looks like a lot of work but well worth it
I have that same Snap-on blast cabinet. do you have the dust catch bags that go with it?
I couldn't live without my lift tables in the shop. congratulations you will love them
My big one in the center of the shop in on an air bag and it is great.
