Thanks JB ! The table is a Siegmund 28 imperial version. Quantum Machinery has them on sale at the moment. It’s not cheap but I wanted to buy once cry once so it’s over kill for what I will use it for most likely. The table according to the specs is about 2190lbs with the legs.

Yeah the straight edge was a lucky bonus. If your looking for a Sjogren Chuck let me know as the oil business here is hurting and there are quite a few machine shops at auction. I have already seen a few others go cheap. Let me know your budget and mount ie L1 or D1 for the lathe and I can keep an eye out for you!

Hey John, Happy New Year to you!
I have been using the table to tack up some tubing for frames to use my Rousseau drawers in for storage. I am building 8 - 93” tall cabinets that will have wood cabinets in the top half like this one I made previously.
I need to remember to takes some photos this weekend!

I finished cutting all of the pieces for the Rousseau drawer cabinets I am making.
I am throwing in the towel today and going in to stick by the fire... I admire you guys in the north who work in these temps....

Right, I definitely get a couple. Its like the three bears. Summer in Phoenix has gotta be papa bear time. Winter in Prescott (been low teens most mornings for a while) gotta be mama bear. And baby bear Cali is juuusssst right about anytime.
BUT, I'll gladly take my temperature extremes over the alternative climate anytime.

I told a native Texan friend on Facebook about taking my kids to a snowy church parking lot when they were young drivers and locking back to 2wd with nothing in the *** end. He said he would stay inside with his coat on.

Touche! I played hockey and skied growing up but my body has definitely "climatized" to Texas weather!
Of course... we have to put up with the white stuff every once in 10 years or more... not everyday! Still no plans for Cam and I to buy a snow blower!

I love that snow blower, I hope I never have to live through enough snow where I feel like I need one. Currently sitting at about 8" now and that is fine to drive through but I'm over it, bring on summer.

Had the backflow on the sprinkler system become a fountain but that was it....
I was in New Mexico skiing in a race at Taos when that storm hit.... there was more snow at my folks place in Boerne then on the mountain!

I will have to check with my folks to see what they have for pics... those days were long before cell phone cameras. I haven’t looked at any of those pics since I tried to use some to impress my then girlfriend and now wife ( she was not impressed!) Wow i can’t believe it’s been 36 years since I last raced...
My mind still thinks I can keep up with my kids skiing but my legs remind me everyday it’s a fool’s errand!

The projects have been constant but a few of them were extra fun. For those of you who have followed along know that my son Chris and I built a gas forge as he became interested in forging. In April we attended a Tire Hammer class at Chapapeela arts in Louisiana. In one weekend we built 27 power hammers including one for ourselves.
‘Forged in Fire Champion Derek Melton was our quality inspector and in charge of heat treating all of our dies.

If you are into forging you have heard of Brian Brazeal. Both he and his brother were there and were great at passing on some information to us rookie blacksmiths.
In the shop, Chris welded up some frame material I cut up previously to create some cabinets for the wood and metal shop.
Now I have to find some time to build the upper cabinets.

Brother its great to see you back in action here. I was starting to get concerned when you hadn't been around in a while. But please explain to the short bus crowd WintheF is up with those power hammers. Was there a special sale on spare tires after the Vid took out all the chainand sprocket manufactures or what??. I ain't never seen anything like that and why?
