I am a recent Duluth convert. Their ballroom pants are aptly named. It's like these pants were designed by guys who have balls and typical guy bodies. They aren't cheap, but they are nice. Why someone didn't come up with the crotch gusset decades ago is beyond me.

You know the no BS warranty changed this year. Only 1 year straight returns, which is fine. After 1 year. If it is defective, they will work on remedying the situation. Worn out, not so much. I saw a guy bring in boots & pants that looked like he had been swimming in concrete. He went back and got a new pair of each. He/them wrecked it. Like I said, 1 year iw usually done, but some clothes I bought there were because of the 'lifetime' warranty. Coats I only wear half dozen times a year, or similar. Shirts i wear weekly+, I expect to wear.

I have their firehose flex pants, great pants, super comfortable, but they shrink FYI. Their firehose pants also do not follow the same sizes and your typical pants, if you wear a 36 waist do not get their 36, it will not fit, just an FYI.

Just got an order in from them yesterday. The only issue I have with Duluth is, they’re limited in size for those of us that are just a tad larger than the majority of the population. At 6’3” with broad shoulders and big arms, I wear a lot of 3XLT, and most of their sizes just run small. Some of it claims to be that size, but it’s really not to the rest of the industry standards. They have a lot of jackets and shirts that I really like, but they don’t offer it in the size I really need. Fortunately, their Buck Naked underwear does fit nicely.

If there’s a store anywhere reasonably within driving distance, it’s well worth checking them out.

I looked at their clothing but it seems most or all is imported, based on the selection i browsed. That was a few years ago. Is it still the case? Perhaps as they get larger volume they will be able to shift that.

There are options for every type of garment from US Made manufacturers.

Shoes, socks, jeans, undershirts, button downs, wool hats and scarves, belts.

We've also now got access to imports which are easier to market and sell because of higher margins. But, all of the above are available, in high quality.

It's just a quality v. quantity decision and everyone will make their own choices.

And in many cases the price can be comparable. You can buy a jacket from Dans Hunting Gear in Ohio for $95. Same style jacket at Deluth or others is probably either as or more expensive.

Totally agree there are options, but are often astronomically priced. I’d much prefer a made in USA shirt or pair of pants, but if I know I’m putting holes in my pants one way or another, I’m probably going to go with the more inexpensive option

I think most of their stuff is still imported.

I wear a 32 waist in most stuff and prefer a 33 in Flex Fire Hose pants.

I actually love that they offer odd numbered sizing, but they only do it for a small percentage of their pants -- most are 32 which is sometimes too snug but then 34 is too much, even with a belt.

I had a problem with there no bull warranty when they opened store near me. I have never bought anything from their sense.Been getting my pants from Diamond Gusset now. Not as thick as the Duluth but they work

When it comes to clothes quality control is much more important than COO though. All it takes is a small area of poor stitching. You also severely limit yourself when it comes to styles. Some things the US really just doesn't make much of anymore like modern shoes, hoodies, cargo pants, jackets, gloves (that aren't woven). Yes there are a very small handful of manufacturers that do fill the void just a hair but you better also be ready to spend 3-4x as much as a similar product from Wrangler or Columbia.

What are you guys talking about. Most find their sizes run big. I'm normally a 30 inch length , but I'm drowning in those. Have to get 28, which is does not come in every style. Even the sales people say to err on the small size usually. I think this is why have a lot of trim selections. I like buying clothes there because I like my sizing better there. Maybe that is a tactic of theirs.

yep. I wanted to yell at the guy I saw they (jeans/boots) were so bad. And I just know it wasn't his first visit doing so.

They did say they will work with you with obvious problems that arise, but not the no-questions asked for the pile of trash you were once bringing.

Recreational Equipment Inc (REI) operates with the same return policy where you can beat the **** out of something and return it within the year. They use to sell the used stuff during parking lot sales and now they have a section on their site specifically for used returns to keep the stuff out of landfills which is kind of cool. Prices could be better though.

I have several Carhartt hooded sweatshirts (pullover, not zippered) in 3XLT, and they fit perfect... not baggy, and not tight. In sleeve length, neck, shoulders, and overall length. No sweatshirt that Duluth offers, fits in 3XL. Not even close, in chest, shoulders, sleeve length, etc. They're just too small. Same goes for both brands and their other jackets also.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the Duluth stuff that fits. Just wish there was more of it for me.

The Lifetime belts are nice BUT they are not correctly size/labelled. Bought two 38" one in black and one in brown. One did up in the first hole the other in the second last. Took a tailor's tape and measured both. one was 37" the other 39".

Returned them both and the clerk gave me two new ones stamped as 38". They wer both longer that the one that was 39!

Clerk says this is standard and you need to try them on with your pants and buy one that is tight NOT loose as they will stretch even longer.

needless to say I ended up with one replacement and one refunded as they didn't have a black one that fit.

Anyone know how the Duluth 11.5 oz Fire Hose cotton canvas pants compare to Carhartt double front 12 oz cotton duck pants??? I typically wear holes in both knees of the Carhartt's in less than a year. Looking for something more durable.

Agreed on their sizing. I wear size 44 waist, I ordered three different types of shorts from them last spring. All three pair were huge to the point where they just fell off. I could’ve ordered a 42 from them, but I haven’t yet.

I’m just pissed they changed their bullpen boxers briefs to a new design. I haven’t bought the new ones yet, but the reviews of them don’t look promising. I have a gang load of the older design ones and planned on grabbing more but now I’m hesitant with the redesign.
I have legs like a fullback it’s a blessing and a curse so finding underwear that don’t ride up my legs has been a nightmare since I could remember, finding pants is even worse...lol

Their fire house pants are great though because they have a little bit of stretch to them, they do run a little long in the length though. These pants are the only ones I don’t wear out the crotch in a years times, everything else I’ve tried forms holes pretty quick from my quads rubbing together.

I do like the heavy shirt jacs also. I’m a recent Duluth convert, started wearing their stuff 3 years ago but it’s interesting when you start to read some of reviews of people that have been wearing their gear for the past 10+ years. It sounds like the quality was better back then compared to now, which isn’t surprising when the bean counters take over.
I just took note of how numerous people mentioned the previous generation shirt jacs were way heavier and warmer.
