Dumb Air Ratchet Question

I was recently given a 3/8" drive air ratchet. Does this require the use of impact sockets or simply chrome sockets? Thanks for the help.

You can use chrome sockets on it. Unless it's an Ingersoll-Rand reactionless one, as they have an impact mechanism inside.

most people use chrome. slimmer socket for the tighter applications.
