Guys, just got an IR2135TiMax gun. Bought it new for $249 delivered. I was kind of expecting some maintenance instructions with it, but...

What I got was a nicely packed gun, with some marketing info, a warranty card that only said to go to their website, and a bunch of safety information warning me not to insert the gun up my nose and pull the trigger without safety glasses :)

What I DIDN'T get was really any sort of maintenance guide for the tool. This seems to be quite normal for IR - while their products are great, their documentation is horrible. Total documentation for a regulator and filter I got from them recently? Zero except for safety info in about a gazillion languages. No information available on their website either.

Can one of the experts here give me a short rundown on proper maintenance of this gun? I've got clean, filtered air with no lubricator. No black pipe in my air distribution.

Thanks!

With my ingersol composites every couple months I would take the nose cone off, and clean the hammers, regrease them then take out the motor with the veins and clean them and wd40 the **** out of them be sure not to put them in backwards. Also make sure to reassemble the hammers 180 degrees opposite. You will notice they're put together with one being "upside down" this is so that the hammers will alternate in direction on each side of the anvil.
