Hello,

I've been searching and searching and maybe I'm missing something. I have a small garage with a porcelain light in the ceiling. I would like to remove the fixture and install something like this:

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Lithonia-Lighting-4-ft-Wraparound-Fluorescent-Ceiling-Fixture-SB-2-32-120-GESB/100427375

When I remove the porcelain fixture, there will be a round hole in the drywall with a round electrical box. Do I need to put a cover on prior to installing the new lighting. . .? Does Home Depot carry what I need? I read you can buy a round outlet cover and get a plug in version of the ballast but those seem online only, don't see it on Home Depot's site.

Thanks,
Matt

The fixture you linked to has a round knockout in the middle and the fixture will mount over top of the round ceiling box for the wire connections.

Just make sure you use a plastic romex connector or gromet to protect the wires if you decide to just use the 1/2 inch ok from the light. Some of the lights have decent size ok where you don't have to worry about the edges of holes cutting into the wires passing through
