Dumb question of the Week: Does Amazon accept HD gift cards?

I want a new welding helmet. My new Son in Law welds for a living plus he's an adjunct professor of welding at a local tech college. He recommended the Lincoln 3350 Viking helmet.

HD doesn't sell it, even via the internet. I have a bunch of HD gift cards I got for Christmas and birthdays etc. Is there any way I can use those HD gift cards to buy something at Amazon?

Sell the HD cards at a card swap site and buy an Amazon one.

Check to see what helmets HD carries. I have that Lincoln and it is good but there are lots out there at lower prices and arguably better quality.
