You lift up that tabs, try using screw driver to pop it open.

And please take a picture before you do anything. I want to see what type of animal you are dealing with.

Oscillating multi-tool?

Air hammer?

Snap On striking pry bar?

I'm guessing it's plastic flip tabs. Or maybe sliding catches?

You know, if you'd bought the Wera set, the release tab/catch arrows would have been hand painted lovingly with lead-free white paint, by Czechoslovakian grandmothers, on Saturday overtime at time-and-half with health insurance. Really, that's half the price bump right there.

I highly recommend oxy acetylene torches for opening new tool kits. Not only do you get to the new tools but you test their durability before you ever use them.

Seriously though, it should be those two tabs, just pull them up and open the lid. Check to see if they may be cable tied. If not and they are just really stuck on there, then like SKang said, pry them open with a flat head.

No offense but I just can't figure out how you can't figure it out. :headscrat

It's your final test grasshopper. You must open the tool case before you can be a mechanic.

I would much rather see someone ask a question rather than break something trying to open it. It is those mechanics without patience or don’t ask questions when they don’t know that scare me. I once broke a cork rubber valve cover gasket opening it. It had a layer of formed tight clear material holding it to cardboard. I pulled the clear material from the top and when it got to gasket it ripped it in half.

sorry i asked the question guys. for all who had a serious answer, thanks.

Were just kidding you. Once you open the case you will laugh too. It happens to the best of us,. The only dumb question is the question not asked. If you don't know ask someone.:)
