dumb waiter firewood elevator?

at the back of our garage is where our firewood is stored. 1 story up is our sundeck where we keep our firewood in the winter (only a couple of armfulls of wood mind you). I'd like to make a dumb waiter of sorts to load at the bottom and then hoist to the sundeck level. (actually, truth be known, this way my kids can do it and it'll become their job).

Has anyone seen this sort of thing? I envision using one of these 1000lb cable ATV winches. While I could design one myself, I'm thinking someone has a picture/plans for something like this.
