Not only is this really stupid but it hits a new low for Snap-On who condems the use of theatrics but proves nothing. If Snap-On discorages the use of theatrics how come everytime you go to a snap-on show they have a vehicle parked on top of a toolbox. I guess all the money they saved on buying china drawer slides they can buy Matco toolboxes

Most people that see the video that, " aren't in the know " ,don't get it either,it is sort of an inside joke.
You don't know " the rest of the story ".
It was done in retaliation to some stuff that Matco pulled on Snap On.

If they want to crush a box that is there bussiness and I sure wouldn't get upset over it.
This old " crushing " video has been brought up numerous times on this forum.
Watch all the other videos to see the boxes compared and you will see how they all did.

The guy even says that crushin the box was to prove nothing, obviously hitting back at Matco for their ads. (He was mocking how Matco did an ad like that to try to prove something)

Childish move on the part of Snap-On. The big thing is he condems theatrics. Snap-On is the king of theatrics. Kind of like when Chevy pushed a S-10 pickup (less engine and transmission) off a bridge on a bungee cord playing (Like a Rock) will you really be bungee jumping with your truck? Will you be parking a truck on top of your tool box? Just because one company acts stupid doesn't mean you need to do the same. Anyone who thinks any toolbox can withstand a car crusher has no business with any kind a tool.

Is any one really gonna buy a commercial like that? It's the same thing as restaurants showing a taste test on tv to "prove" your **** tastes better'n the next guys.

matco probably got their full asking price for their toolbox so they are happy.

since that video is meaningless in all aspects (a car can't even stand up to a crusher so what makes them think a toolbox can???) means nothing to me. it wasn't even that thrilling.

rather then making dumb videos like that they should have a camera person follow a single toolbox down the assembly line of each of the top manufacturers. that way it would show the process of all of them and what you actually pay for

matco had a video throwing a box off of a cliff or a building. so SOT did one better.
I laugh at all the videos that every company puts out. some of the actors are BAD....

i'd like to see so beat the **** out of their own toolbox like tow it behind a car on the highway. watch it flop around and stuff break off of it to simulate a century worth of abuse
