Deafautotech, Kart and I were discussing on another thread the dumbest mistakes someone else made that we saw.
The top one that comes to mind for me:
My neighbors Dodge minivan wasn't running quite right, her son flushed the transmission fluid for her and used Dextron to replace the fluid.
If this was not enough, I could not explain why her brakes also $#it the bed. Ended up replacing a leaking rear cylinder; but still could not fix the problem. I couldn't fiigure it out, She had to take it to the dealership - The seals in the master cylinder were ruined (Such a stupid mistake I never expected anything like this to happen) - Answer: The Helpful son put transmission fluid to replace lost brake fluid after he DID the brakes.

My buddy and I figured it out by looking at the counter on the oil gun.
