Dump Trailer Project

So I bought this little dump trailer sight/unseen, knowing it'd be a bit of a project, and had it shipped up on the barge. The i guy I bought it from assured me all i had to do was come up with the hubs and stub axles. Turns out it's missing the the hinges for the dump box too. Anybody recognize what those are? Not a regular hinge from what I can tell. The company no longer makes these trailers. Thanks!

Looks like an axle going through that to other side? Can you just fab and weld the broken piece out of steel?
Or get another manufacturer part and make it work as that one clearly didn’t last long

That looks like some type of torsion hinge set up.

Nothing broken, yet. Got to be something manufactured, but will fab something up if I have to. Here's a pic showing where the dump box fits onto the frame.

The new dilemma is this: Can't find a hub that fits this lug pattern: 6 on 7.5". It's a skid steer tire, but I can't find anything about it. The hubs are meant to go on a stub axle welded to frame, the way I understand it. Called a couple trailer outfits and they come up with nothing in their search either.

They probably used the hubs/bearings off a skid steer. the outer hubs unbolt. Probably pretty pricey to replace though

I don't know if this is a help or not- The teardrop portion of the hinge appears to look very similar to the pins that hold the bucket on the QT loader that is attached to father in laws Ford tractor- 4610 to be exact- Not sure about the rest of the hinge part but that might give you something to look at to start

Broadie, For your hubs and spindles that appears to be a (reasonably) standard implement wheel, you are looking at a trailer parts store for an agricultural part. I used to see these at stores like TSC, Princess Auto, [yep I'm a Canuck] and tractor dealers. Try those and any other farm supply/Co-Op you may have handy and see if you can find what you are looking for.
_If you can not find a direct bolt in part for your hinge and you go "All Fabbed In" our local "Lowes" has an excellent supply of "Oil-light" bushings both, flanged and straight, up to 1" dia. [if the Canadian stores are this well equipped then the American one should be better(?)] a replaceable wear point in the dump trailer environment would be a good thing I think. That hinge looks like a anti-rotation/pin retainer used on some equipment, for no good reason I'm thinking Bobcat, again off to the tractor dealers, the ones with "loose affiliations" would likely have a wider choice if their size permits. Just some things to consider. Harry

On the hinge, I see a couple of parts, could be mostly laser cut flat bars, pin, bushing

1) and 2) bolt into the bed and have a thru hole for the pin.

3) pin with the welded teardrop "keeper plate" with a single bolt hole. Try 4140 steel.

4) steel bushing, make from 4140-ish material, sits in the "J" shape

and #4 is retained by 5) keeper strap which keeps #4 from rotating, could be welded or friction-fit. This is probably the hardest part to make actually.

They look plated to me for weather resistance. I would figure out how to install a grease zerk for each side.

Can't say if its available commercially but a local fab/machine shop may be able to help.
