I got this from craigslist for $60 and I don't know what I am getting.. (ok I know its a press drill). It weighs a ton, it's running and it got my job done. Now I want to know more about what I am getting. Anyone has more info about this press drill? (years, model, actual worth, etc)

50's era, probably similar to the Craftsman model 80, so "light weight"

I can get more info tonight if no one does so sooner.

Looks to be a 4 speed, (4 sheaves on each pulley?)

Almost certainly a better and more durable DP than many of the small offerings of modern bench top DPs.

Be sure to oil the spindle bearings and the outside of the quill. When properly lubed these are amazingly quiet machines...

Looks like Outlaw got you squared away. Here is a manual for it, even has a good writeup on drill bit geometry and sharpening.

If I was you I would go through it thoroughly, replace the bearings, lube it up and it should be ready for 50 more years of service. They are nice little machines. Much better than anything you can buy new these days for <$100
