My experience is that the colors are pretty close. A lot of the color match will have to do with the condition of the rest of the body, base color of the substrate, the clear coat that you use and your prep. If you do this properly, you can get good results. Another choice would be SEM. What is the color code on your truck?

Your best bet is to get the paint code and have the exact color mixed up. I wouldn't be too enthused about Dupli-Color.

I’ve had excellent luck with it, even in red.

BUT, and this is a big ****. Hammer is dead on as success with attaining the right shade is all about your primer selection and prep. You’ll need to experiment with different shades of primer to get it close or dialed in.

I recently fixed a bumper crack and painted with dupli-color spray paint (~1 square foot area). The color match was perfect. These base-coat lacquer paint sprays are similar, dupli-color is among the cheapest and widely available.

If you sand to bare plastic, you might want to spray "adhesion promoter" first before primer.

For clear coat, you have more choices from all kinds of brands.

You should be good to go on this color. I would still look into SEM if you are going to go with a spray can. It's just a better product and the spray nozzle is very good.

^ He's right.
You might get lucky & get a close match, but i'd just go to the local auto paint supplier with your paint code & have it mixed up there.
If you use someone close, they will help you if you have a problem.
Online companies don't know you once they have your money.

Their Wimbledon White is an exact match for my 64 Falcon.

I've used their stuff on several other cars, once wet sanded to blend, no noticeable difference.

Caveat: If the car you're trying to match to was resprayed at some point, all bets are off.

The more common the colour the less likely it is to match as there will be way more variants of it due to variations of it being used in multiple factories.

I've used it it was a match but slightly off. Also you don't get much per can. I went to Oriley's and had them mix up the paint from the vin code and it matches spot on!

In my experience, perfect matches are almost impossible to achieve, even if you use the exact same paint the factory applied. This is because painted surfaces have been shown to change color over time due to weathering and sunlight exposure.

In High School Auto Shop we were taught to paint an entire panel, not just a spot.
