Just found this on C-list, opinions................

They claim made in USA but I thought they were Taiwan?

I think you're right. Equiv. new @ HF $60. Even with vise, v-block and hole saws, $30 tops for me.
Ask the seller - ask for picture of nameplates w/COO. Motor and machine may be different.

I have that drill press. Bought it late 80's. Mine is still grey like the motor. Moved mine to a wooden workbench years ago and overtightened the lag screws on the base. Nice big cracks on the base from that error. Good news is they haven't enlarged over the years. I would not buy another one now but on the other hand, it has survived me and was quite cheap new. Get what ya pay for.

I bought a Duracraft 1600 back in the 80's, don't remember what I paid but the only problem I had was when I dropped it and bent the vertical shaft, is it high quality? Nope but it has served me well.
