Hi All, I picked these lighted extensions up at Ollie’s in Shillington Pa. I thought for $10’they could be useful . Both are 14mm craftsman sockets . Brighter light is 3/8. The 1/2 is a little weak. Had to sort through to get 3 that light up. Uses 3 LR 626 batteries

Interesting... i cant help but think the light would be more useful on the OUTSIDE of the extension though..

I wonder how big the cavity is inside, and if that weakens them by any substantial amount.

Since the socket focuses the Iight I was thinking if you have trouble seeing underneath the car it would shine on nit or bolt. Kinda guide you to it. Was thinking it could free up a hand from holding flashlight. For $10 it’s worth toying with.

They are fatter then typical extensions . The 1/4 looks like a 3/8 extension with a 1/4 head.

Did they hollow out 90% of the extension to make room for the battery and switch?

I like gimmicky stuff like this. Problem is, usually by the time I need it, the batteries have rotted, lol. Heck, I have two light-up screwdrivers laying right here beside me... In front of my ironic light-up keyboard...
