I used mine last weekend to tighten up the rear alternator bolt on my truck. It might have been slightly too long, but was smooth enough that I could let the weight of the ratchet fall and not have to move my arm as much.

My issue is that everyone is describing it as a 3/8" drive in a 1/4" drive ratchet. I've never seen a regular lenght 1/4" ratchet with a head that small.

I have the Titan ratchet, which is good for tight spaces.

I have Duralast, Stanley, Craftsman, Sears, and I think a couple others.

Does someone make a 1/4" ratchet about the size of the Duralast 73-868?

I'm not sure how long the duralast is, but I really like my ez red stubby quarterstick. It has a bit holder on the opposite end which works great if you have hex or torx connections in tight areas.

I have the same ratchet, it's great.

Duralast makes a 1/4" of it. I think the model number is 71-420. It wasn't available in any stores in my area.

Edit- Another option is Nepros. Japanese made.

I just picked up the 73-868, 3/8 in a 1/4 body ratchet. it's 5.75" long and the head is roughly .75" at its widest point.

I have found the Duralast tool line to be pretty nice stuff. I was unaware they were making a ratchet like this. I have the mini 3/8 drive ratchets in SK tools, Snap On, and Mac tools. I like them all. Very handy to turn big fasteners in tight areas. Also of interest is the 3/8 drive extra shallow ratchet and sockets by Snap on, and also I have a set of power built. They are convenient for tight spots. It's tools like this that get my broken heavy Equipment moving quick after mechanical failure! Sometimes I can't get by without em.

I got one last week because of the good reviews and my past experience with the duralast ratchets that I have used. I love the super small ratchet head. I too have maybe too many 3/8 ratchets but a 3/8 in a 1/4 body is one that I did not have

Pretty cool.I have the 2 wrights in that style with knurled handles. One is a little heavier head than the other. I also have the smooth handles in straight and flex. They get used a few times a year ---just because. I reach for a different ratchet every time I open the box and if I need multiple size sockets for a job I grab a ratchet for each socket.

There’s one for sale on eBay right now, I know they’re no longer sold at the store. I don’t need another one.

I know this thread is old but wright makes a excellent version of one of these in standard and flex head
