Duralast light weight ratchet

Im not trying to dog Duralast, as I have quite a few tools from them.
I cut one open today (making it a stubby) and noticed that it is very hollow. Its deeper than I thought.

I assumed all ratchets were solid.

I recall a Hot Rod Article a year or two ago in which the Duralast did quite well in the toughest ratchet test (ft.lb. / $)

What's the problem, exactly? Nothing at all wrong with using a tube there instead of a solid bar.

Barring abuse with a cheater pipe, has anyone EVER seen a ratchet handle break, let alone halfway up the handle?

Now we know why they're so cheap to buy. Less material then a Snap On. Now that justifies the 300% difference in price.
