The item is mostly the same externally and fills the same place in the catalog, a 3/8" ratchet. That is why the item number is the same.
It does not mean it is an identical item to the smallest detail.
Plomb parts numbers have been recycled from the late 30's to the present day new production with changes in details, finish and materials. But a 1/2" combo wrench by Plomb, Proto, ProtoMex, Urrea or Surtek will all bear the same number.
I do beleive AZ is doing exactly the same thing. They could have 4 different manufacturers making a very similar item at the same time to fill orders for the stores. Isn't that what really matters to them?
