I like all there duralast ratchets, have one that is over 8 years old still works like new. Most my tools are duralast no problems yet, but i only work on my personal cars when they need maintenance.

I was gonna purchase a set of $nap-on Torx sockets, but then I noticed that I have nearly a complete set of them in Dualast. They were each puchased one at a time of a period of several years for individual tasks. Serves me well!

I have the Torx socket set too, I don't use them often, but they are high quality. PASS.

I picked up a 15mm 1/4" 6 point socket today to fill an empty peg. It's a Taiwan and seemed ok.(how much force will I put on a 1/4" socket?')
Ofcourse the only reason I was in Auto Zaone was to get one of the 1/4" Titan mini ratchet because of this darn board

The flexible line wrenches are junk

Flexible Line Wrench

I was hoping to use the metric equivalent to remove an intake manifold from a Toyota 4-AFE motor still in the vehicle. It was hopeless, the jaws of these things have some sort of 12 point surface area and the 12mm side was completely out of spec. I had to actually re-rivet the 10mm side back to the tool since the pin would slide out on occasion.

I went with the Husky equivalent and have been much more satisfied.

I have a set of their reversable ratcheting wrenches in both std and met. Buddy found them for me in a pawn shop back in 2005 been using them profesionaly ever since, had one of the reversing levers break this year and they swapped it out. I would highly recomend!

Duralast tools? Aren't those the tools you buy when you're at an Autozone and have to do an immediate repair in the parking lot and you realize you don't have any tools handy?

This is a tricky thread. The old pre- great neck tools were great. However many of the newer items are okay. Still any thread should be helpful.

The only 2 Duralast tools I own are a 17mm deep socket and a 36mm standard socket........both were purchased in a bind. Honestly, from the looks of them, they appear to be nicer than HF, Craftsman, and Kobalt. I'll still only buy them in a pinch though......I'm turning into a snob.

I will give them props on there warranty. I found a 1/2 great neck ratchet while walking off a property the company I work for purchased. It was missing a reverser so I figured I would stop by an Autozone and see if they had a head kit for it. Walked in handed it to the woman at the counter she walked to the shelf handed me a new one and told me to have a nice day. That would have been common 5-10 years ago but not today. The new Duralast they replaced it with also appears to be good quality for Taiwan tools.
