Duralast Tools

So to clarify, you use the cheap Duralast ratchet for actual work, and save the expensive Snap On for...Does not compute...

To me, I'd used the Snap On like a rented mule. If I paid that kind of money for a ratchet, it better hold up to an atomic bomb. I would think that would be the reason to buy Snap On. Looks to me like in this case you really only needed the Duralast

No. That does not "clarify" my post, but rather puts words in my mouth. I use my Snapon 98% of the time when I need a long flex and I do not baby it at all. BUT since ratchets were not meant to have cheater pipes or a hammer applied to them, I realize that when/if I do this that I am ABUSING/MISUSING the tool in which case I will grab the duralast (which btw, can take the abuse!) I am sure the snapon would hold up well, but I try to avoid misusing/abusing expensive tools.

I realize this is an old thread, but perhaps somebody's still paying attention to it. Does anybody have experience with a newer 3/8 drive duralast torque wrench? the micrometer sort. They look to have a better fit and finish than the Pittsburgh Pro ones from HF, and I'm curious if anybody can claim if they're better or worse and why. If they're better I'll happily pick one up. If not, $10 with a coupon from HF is adequate for me
