Duratech double box wrench

Just noted Duratech double box ratchet wrench in amazon，
one is fixed ratcheting with fix 0 offset non ratcheting;
The other is double box flex ratcheting;
It’s a tough call to choose between this 2 sets?
What you guys suggest?I know in GJ you may suggest get both,but is it really necessary?

Those look similar to the Tektons. How is the quality of Duratech?
Is this brand made in China or India?

china. i've had a set of the long double flex ratcheting wrenches for a while. quality is pretty nice for cheap wrenches. use them as intended and they should last.

Zero offset box wrenches aren't very useful.

I think that is highly subjective and really depends on what you work on. I really like them for the extra leverage.

Extra leverage? Only if longer than the equivalent offset version but you are correct, my statement is from the bias of someone that is primarily working on cars where I find little use for them unless the ratcheting kind with flex heads which effectively provide offset.

I love my tekton Version of these. I get more leverage with the longer handles.

china. i've had a set of the long double flex ratcheting wrenches for a while. quality is pretty nice for cheap wrenches. use them as intended and they should last.

I have a 1/2" Duratech ratchet that was sent to me. It has been good so far as well.

Honestly I like the idea of these paired with the Icon style flex head long double box ratcheters. You could use the fixed end of this wrench to break and then 99 % of the time switch to the icons but 1 % of the time it’s going to be something that the icons won’t fit and you want a 0 offset with ratchet to run it off

i mean assuming your going to have a fixed long box end anyway to break then your options are one that has two box ends of different sizes or one box end fixed and one 0 degree ratcheting.

i dont own these and im still building out my core tools so this isn’t a style of wrench for me its honestly maybe like the 15th wrench you should own but its not useless lol

I have been thinking about buying a set with open end on one end and flexing ratchet on the other.

I like Tekton but their flex head is not reversible, which I prefer but for my uses I can live without.

Some posts here on alternatives that I will look into before I pull the trigger (spend my money) but they slip my mind at the moment.

I would like to find a regular length ratcheting on one end, box on the other. The normal combination ratcheting wrench is limited by the usefulness of the open end to break the fastener loose and access of the open end. If the ratchet end will fit, so will a box end, and give better service to boot. A short double box end ratcheting wrench could be handy, also.

Some of those box ends project down a bit so can act like a slightly projecting socket I recently ran into a situation with a swing set that worked with with that but not my ratchet wrench.
