Is there anything that can be done to control or reduce dust in a workshop other than not making it in the first place or taking it outside? Besides a few cars, equipment, workbench, etc. I have a lot of open shelving with car parts and misc. stuff on them and it's getting onto everything. Not creating much sawdust anymore but grinding dust (and the metal particles) and dust from using a strip disc is getting all over the place. I even get metal particles sticking to drywall where the screws are.
I know dust has been discussed here before. I don't think a dust collector would work tho? I'm doing work right on a car as well as grinding at 2 workbenches and moving around to other locations. When using a strip disc, maybe set up some skirting around the car to contain some of it? I can't exhaust air outside and or open the O/H door over the winter. Maybe I should put a cover on things on the shelves.
I thought nothing could be worse than dealing with drywall dust but there is... Is there such a thing as a dust maid service that can come in weekly?
Is there a hood or something I can make for my bench grinder? And maybe connect it to a shop vac? (The photo is after a cleanup.)
