Dustless Automotive Sanding

Anybody use this or something similar? Granted it's not power sanding, but is wide area hand sanding a thing?

I have some rust work to do and would like to keep thing less mess as possible.

Nothing new here. I've been using vacuum blocks for at least 5-7 years. They are made by 3M, Mirka, Norton and just about everybody else as well. All vacuum sanders, whether hand or powered, need to be used with a Dust Deputy or the filters of the vacuum will immediately clog. The cyclone takes out 98% of the dust prior to it ever getting to the vacuum cleaner itself.

This technology has ben around for a while as @dnschmidt said. I've seen this Eastwood advertisement and while it looks decent, I don't know how it adds up to the better brands. I have a Harbor Freight Dust collector and a Grizzly stand with a megaphone opening and a 8 foot hose. I place it right next to where I am sanding and it does collect a good amount of dust. I don't know if you will ever be completely dustless.

Just make sure to use a vacuum with a hepa filter, or hepa bags, or both.
