Hello, at work we have a dewalt Dw151 mag drill with a bad chuck. I need some help figuring out how to remove the chuck.

I don't see a set screw in the center.

Thanks Chad

the center srew is usually for reversing drills so the chuck cannot spin off in reverse gear
put a large allen wrench into the chuck and a few good smacks counterclockwise whould loosen it. unless it's a tapered shaft ie morse etc

I tried the allen wrench trick and couldn't get it to budge. Judging by the new chuck available on e replacement parts it is not tapered. I will try the allen wrench trick again.

Thnks.

That usually does the trick. For stubborn cases I put a hex bit on my impact wrench and chuck the hex end in the chuck to be removed. If it is screwed on it is coming off.
