Just went over and looked over the tool section since my local store is 10 minutes away. Couldn't find any right angle or stud drills. All they had was the basic hand drills. Was I looking in the wrong section?

That's a STEAL.

I bought the display model about a year ago when our store stopped carrying them for $119 and thought I did well... if anyone finds one, I'll give you $100 for it. It's worked VERY well for me. The only way I was able to put holes in some 12" thick 100 year old oak beams was my DWD460 with a 2 9/16 Irwin self feed and Irwin extension... the thing with those Irwin bits is like a post hole auger.

I wish I could think of all the great deals I've gotten from Lowes clearance... the best was 100' rolls of #12 landscape cable for $5 each which then several other stores price-matched, and then I was happy to run into a Rage Evolution 2 display for $70 about a week ago.

Just bought one for $37.

It was their last one and there are no others in the area... fortunately I bought one in NC which was not in stock and got cancelled, found one near a coworker and placed the order and Lowes CS had the store price match since my first order was not in stock.

Woo woo.

my local lowes had one, was only offered at 186.** refused to match the other stores saying it was a 'mistake or internet hoax'

if anyone can get an extra one at the clearance price id buy it and pay you something for your 'service'. PM me if you have one i can buy

The Lowes in Carol Stream didn't have one, nor a place for one.
I got suckered into buying the closeout sockets, sae and metric, shallow and deep.

Found a Bosch HD19 hammer drill at my store yesterday for $60 reg $120-150... going non-stock.

I already have a larger RH328VC for applications which need it, but the HD19 uses a regular chuck so I can use it for el cheapo masonry bits and beat on it, I keep the RH328VC looking nice at all times :)

I was in my Lowes today picking up drywall. I saw this drill marked down to something over $200. Lame. Some of you guys are stealing this thing. At these blowout prices, I'd pick one up even though I honestly don't know what this drill's purpose is!

Bull it has two real purposes, to drill holes in wall studs to run eletric wire thru, or to put a hole saw in and drill holes for like plumbing, it will handle upto a 6" can hole saw. So basically any plumber or eletrican would love to have.... Rich

Thank you for the details, Richard. My dad and one of my friends was/is a plumber. I worked a lot with them when I was younger. They always used Milwaukee "hole hawgs" or some similarly spelled tool to drill holes for pipes. Is this tool essentially one of those, then?

I remember using the hole-hawg above my head on one job, with a big hole saw bit, to drill holes for waste piping. The damn saw kept binding up, and when it did it snapped my wrist and arm back, slapping me in the face and knocking the hat off of my head. I felt like a twerp, and hated that tool on that day.

yes, just a different brand. no problem Bull any time, that is what we are doing on this site is helping each other out, This one has a clutch so that if it binds up it will slip instead of breaking your wrist.
