Dying ceiling insulation

The bubble wrap insulation that was installed when the building was built is flaking off. At times it looks like it has snowed in the shop. I am looking at solutions to either cover it or cut it out and put something up in its place.
The shop in 50 x 80 with 16' walls.
What have others used on their ceilings?
Been looking at 2" foam in 4x8 sheets to just cover it, but the ceiling joists are 5' on center and there would be a lot of waste cutting 8' panels to fit.

Ideas or previous wisdom appreciated.

Thanks

I think what they mean is to put 1 x 4's or 2 x 4's on the ceiling to attach a ceiling covering to. Another choice would be to use panel liner, that would come in a 38" (36" coverage) by what ever length you needed. They can span the 5' with no problem.

I had seen the panel liner on ceilings, but did not know the proper name. Now I can go looking locally for the product.
Thanks
