Will you make the buyer buy if they realize it's a (their) mistake at the end of the auction?
Why would he not? They entered a contract to make the purchase, if they cannot read the simple 1 sentence description then they may just need to learn the hard way. Not to be a jerk, but it may be a good lesson for them to learn to open there eyes in the future.
This is not the Nigerian money scam, or the craiglist car scam where you are tricked into wiring money somewhere. This is a plain and simple auction for a product that is clearly stated in the description that it is just a box.
That's border-line rip-off.
When one says "white box no accessories", some buyers will think that it's a white-box product, which is a real thing. White box = retail product in white box and w/o retail packaging.
I definitely agree the title seems to be worded for the specific purpose of sounding like how oem white box electronics are sold, but the picture is clearly a retail box, and the description clearly states there is no phone included.
"This is just a box there is no iPhone that comes with the box"
I don't think it's right, or defending him. But if anyone can simply read then there won't be any confusion. Oh and of course they have the ability to email the seller before bidding. So if they just bid blindly, I feel no sympathy.
