Anyone work on an e-bike or e-scooter? I bought one to take on our camping trips and its been great. I wished I had an e-bike when I was competing in triathlons so many years ago! - lol! Anywho, mine stopped (literally!) after about 2 years. The back wheel locked up solid. First thing I did was to make sure the brake was off/released, which it was. Then I contacted the maker who said it was the handle/contoller - and offered to send me a replacement. With this red-herring in mind, I waited while they sent - and resent - 3 different controllers, finally testing one and finding it not to be the problem. With some testing I found it was the inverter box, which takes the battery power and input from the controller to power the rear wheel. Replacing that took removing the battery, surgically replacing tiny wires and plugs, then bottoning it back up, stuffing all the cales back in the handle bar and rewrapping all the wiring. But she back in action. Much easier and cleaner work than rusty cars and trucks!
