Hey all,
I've read through a number of threads about the Eager Beaver chainsaw's. I got this one free of Craigslist a few years ago - was smoking but ran. Cleaned it up, serviced - now purrs and starts first pull most times. My chain just snapped - it has "mini 370" stamped on the links. I ordered a 16" off Amazon - but the slack screw wouldn't take enough out even with the bar fully extended. Thought - man must have measured wrong so I ordered a 14" - this chain is just too short - remeasured - it's a 15" distance from the tip to the cover (useable chain) on the bar - so has to be 16" chain. Finally - my question is - has anyone ever found a workable replacement chain for this little chainsaw? I'm getting frustrated and almost pulled the trigger on an 18" Husky for next day delivery - so - you know istead of a $10 chain spending $300 on an entirely new saw (that I use maybe 1X per year!!! Any experience/suggestions most appreciated.

Count the number of drive links on the snapped chain. That will give you the length your saw requires. My Mac Eager Beaver
is currently in Oregon, so I can't give you better measurements.

I counted the drive links and the saw shop made me up a chain in about 10-15 minutes while I looked at stuff.
