Hi guys, I'm building a 4 post lift (yeah I know it's cheaper to buy). I didn't figure out the economics when I started this a few years ago. The project just got a shot in the arm as I added one more car than my garage can hold ! I am planning to buy a 3" x 70" hydraulic ram from Eagle. They have responded with a price but that's it. No picture, No specs, No nothing ! Does anyone have an eagle 7000 or 8000 lift that could measure the mounting tabs and pivot pin and get me that info? Some cylinders have a single ear, some have dual tabs etc. I guess I could just fab up what I want to and weld into my ramp, then cut the tabs off the cylinder when I get it and weld on the companion piece. Just seems simpler to make the mounting the correct size in the first place ! a closeup pic would be of great help, with fairly accurate measurements. Thanks in advance. If anyone has any interest in this type of fools errand, I can build a thread about the construction. At this point I have the posts and cross beams done and at the powder coater. I am building the ramps now. If I can finish the mount, weld on the diamond deck, then these can go and be powder coated. When I started this I did it just to engineer and build the thing for a fun project. The final cost will likely be close to a fairly nice factory built unit. About the only saving grace is that assuming I don't crush one of my own cars, I can say I designed and built the darned thing ! 
I wouldn't do it again. Steel isn't cheap when you aren't buying it by the car load! It's been fun, but I'm more than ready to be done with it! I will post the story. Gotta collate the start to finish pictures. I imagine at the rate I'm going, I got a few months to go. I think it will be bitchin when it's done.
