Eagle Carports -- my experience

I've read a few reviews on eagle carports on this site. Quite frankly most of them were less than stellar. But after extensive research and taking all variables and factors under consideration I went ahead and placed my order for my new shop through them.

My reasoning was as follows: 1.) they offered the upgrades I wanted at the best price 2.) they had some features that weren't available from other manufacturers 3.) the bad reviews i had read were mostly based on delivery time. I am flexible in that dept so if I was delayed, no big deal. 4.) I know two people who store their rv's under eagle carport and the quality seemed to be in line with what I expect.

I placed my order on January 9 at 6:45 pm. I was told that the delivery would take 2-2.5 weeks.

The following Monday I received a call to confirm my order and specs. They said that they would like to schedule my installation for January 20.

Thursday the 19th I received a call from the installer to confirm installation. I also received a call from Eagle Carports to confirm. The installer actually came over that night and looked over the site and prepped for the following morning.

This morning (Friday Jan 20), the crew was here working by 7:00 am. I received a confirmation call from eagle at 8:00 to make sure the installers were in site.

The crew was knowledgeable, courteous, cleaned up after themselves, and communicated with me and answered all questions I had.

Overall, it was an outstanding experience. From order to delivery to installation to final payment was a breeze.

The building itself is exactly what I ordered and the quality of install was top notch. I'm going to post a build thread in the gallery when I get everything done, but wanted to post this review becaise of some of the things I've read and because of how satisfied I am.

They built my shop as well. My only issue with them was the fact the installers got stuck in my yard and left big ruts. I called eagle carports and they basically told me it was my problem not theirs and that I need to deal with the installer! That being said I'm having a 10' extension added on my building this summer with hopes that the next install crew is more professional. The price point vs quality can't be beat!

Glad it worked out for you. What size and features? I know you are doing a build thread, but how about some basic details of yours for this thread?

I've got a couple of the cheap carport type structures, I forget the brand. But they do fine for my purpose of parking stuff under them. Mine are just roof only, not enclosed. Overall happy with them and the price. My two 21x26 carports were about $3200 installed, tax incl. Both were installed in one day, actually about 3 hours start to finish.

The building is 18x35x9

I did the 12 gauge upgrade, added welded trusses, and had a vertical roof. They also added a wainscoting around the bottom that matches the trim and roof.

There is a 10x8 roll up door on the front, a walk door on the front, and a 6x7 roll up on the right side along with a window.

I have more questions than answers.

When you say they got stuck in your yard. does that mean they drove off the drive to park? Or did they get stuck trying to get to your pad?

They asked if they could back their trailer on the grass and I said yes. When I came back out they had the whole truck in the "soft" part of my yard. The crew was very unprofessional, showed up late (6 pm) and tried to work through the night (I had to ask them to stop at 1030pm due to noise complaints from neighbors). I would assume eagle carports basically hires the person with the cheapest bid to install a "group" of buildings. I did have to go back after them and tighten down the wedge anchors, pick up screws dropped everywhere around the yard, and they left a big pile of trash/scrap metal inside my building. I didn't mind the scrap because it included 3 20' beams that probably went to someone else building. A good friend of mine had a building installed and his crew was a lot more professional than mine, for the price I would do it again.
