Picked up this eagle stanley try square the other day. I knew eagle was older so figured I'd grab it, it was cheap enough. Anyhow any info on these? Can't find anything with the Eagle logo and stanley on it. I've seen some 46-208 Stanly squares but no eagles. I'm assuming this would probably be dated around the merging/aquiring of 1916? Any info would be appreciated. I just like learning the history of things.

That looks like a 1990's Stanley Contractor Grade try square. I bought just like yours in the 1990's. Stanley probably just dusted of the Eagle trademark.

Well I guess you win some loose some.
Only paid $10 for it so i'm not too disappointed.
I don't mind taking a chance on something for $10.

I only paid $1 for mine, but still, the Phillips screws were a giveaway.
And the wood is def not high high quality.
Triangle escutcheon.
Sheesh.
