Early rhft variation ? ...

Here's one you may not see too much. It's got 4 patent numbers and no lines next to the Craftsman logo.
I'm guessing early 70's before the ones that mention being patented in Canada.

I would say the OP is backwards. The ratchet with patent pending would be the first edition and the ones with patent numbers would then follow it.

My post is a bit convoluted, sorry.
I meant the one with 4 patents only. The other is just there to keep it company.

I think he concentrated on the pear head rats mostly ? but maybe he knows.



Incidentally the one with 4 patents skipped and when I got it apart I saw that the pawls were rounded and one of the pins that the pawls pivot on had a clear bend in it.
I think it takes some serious tourqe to bend such a short piece of steel.
Swapped the pawls n pins out, and kept the original drive plug housing thing whatever it's called. Works fine now.
