Early S+K Ratchet and Socket Set?

I stumbled across this set the other day, and was wondering if it had any significant value. It's an older S+K ratchet and socket set. The ratchet is marked "Patent Pending", which makes me think it has some significant age to it. Can anybody here hazard a guess as to what decade it was built, and what a reasonable price for the set would be?

So it looks like this ratchet was manufactured prior to February 18, 1941. It is pre-WWII.

The lower ratchet in this picture is likely an earlier Pat Pend example.
Here is my set with tools and toolbox made around the same time as the ratchets. The sockets are marked S-K Chrome.
