Early vice grip pliers

I've had these for years. My dad acquired them sometime in the past, possibly WWII. Notice the patent date on them. Also notice they don't have a release handle. That is why I relegated them to my "grab it and go" Kennedy cantilever top tool box (doghouse box).

Are those the 7" ?
I have 10" that are almost identical but the company name is on the side like modern ones so yours are even older.

I have a similar pair that were my grandfather's, also without the release lever. I need to look for a patent date on them.

The ones I grew up using were old like that without the release lever. It was not until the late nineties that I realized that you could get them with the new fangled release lever. At the time, I thought the release levers had just come out.
