It's just knowing the wartime tells that most WWII guys know and I got to the reply first, that's all. In general, when it comes to Williams, we look for MADE/FORGED < W > in U.S.A. under the scroll logo. Scroll logo and just U.S.A. is usually postwar. There are some exceptions. Some tiny tools and I think some contract tools during WWII with sparse markings. But, in general, just like Bonney, MADE/FORGED in U.S.A. is prewar and wartime, U.S.A. is postwar.
Caveat is I don't know much about 3/4-drive and that has a weird finish, so, someone might should double check me.
