just found a mint 711105, anyone know what its worth ?, thanks.
thetool,
I'm not familier with the 71105 model. And, your photo's are not working.
So let's get the basics:
What drive size are we talking about?
Is it a teardrop or roundhead design?
If it's a roundhead, is it the RHFT model?
Is it a standard handle, long handle, or flex handle?
As a point in reference, I purchase used ratchets frequently in good, very good, or excellent condition. If I'm buying a third-tier brand like Easco (i.e. not Snap-on, MAC, Cornwell, Matco, Wright, S-K, or Proto) I typically pay between $2 and $10 depending mostly on condition, but also on drive size and handle type.
As an example, a few weeks ago I picked up an Easco 73110 1/2" drive, standard handle, RHFT ratchet, in very good condition. I paid $7 for it and the seller and I were both happy with the transaction.
I can't tell you what your ratchet would sell for on ebay. I can tell you that in the real used tool world, it would likely be in the $5- $10 range, $15 tops.
If your ratchet is as good as you say it is, and you only paid $1 for it, why not just keep it and use it for the rest of your life? You got a bargain, enjoy it.
