Easco was a OEM for Craftaman at one time then bought by Danaher and the name was phased out.

They must have sold pretty cheap at one time since my dad had some and he was not known for buying pricey tools like Craftsman..........................

No frills, get the job done without breaking the bank tools
When tools were used instead of polished
Easco not only made Craftsman but, also made NAPA, master mechanic, Allen, and others. Morphed into KD tools. Sadly killed off several years ago to pave the way for Gearwrench's expansion. :(

Thanks, Fedwrench. I knew a little of Easco's history but wasn't aware that they became KD. I always considered finding NOS KD an event because their tools were usually high quality/no frills.

They also made a long list of automotive specialty tools.

Progress is fine, but it's just gone on for too long. There is good blog on the web with that name, BTW.

Our local tool place sold Wright as their top line and EASCO/KD as their cheap line. EASCO had real goofy raised panel on their wrenches and ratchets. But they were USA made Craftsman quality. I have a nice RHFT flex ratchet that I got cheap.
