Has anyone used eastwood impact sockets? I want to pickup a set for my m12 3/8" fuel impact I just bought.

This looks like a decent deal.

I don't know about the impacts but I bought a set of SAE deep and and shallow 1/2" drive chromes from them. A lot of conpanies do it but I would have passed if I had realized that the broaches were so shallow. They are made in China. No defects but nothing special. Probably Husky/Kobalt quality. I wish I had heard of Tekton at the time. Look at their impacts. They look really nice. Best price is often direct from them and they have sales. A lot of people like the Sunnex impacts.
Read the reviews on the Eastwood web site. The don't seem to edit out the bad ones.

Well I have THAT set and overall I like it. fairly thin wall for impact, has performed good Really handy both shallow and deep in the same set. And the case is very good positive latches and the whole package is quite small. Marking is good both print and actual stamping

The only negative I give it is that it is not a glossy finish like that picture shows but was more a chalky matte finish at least my set was and I telling you this just so you won't be surprised if you buy one and it comes that way. But for the cost and I got mine with some money off on that list price I was satisfied;

The outer sleeve packaging is marked APEX Group so would be the supplier

Now for my little ***** fest I actually liked it enough to go for the similar metric set that was on a clearance sale back in June. I received the set obviously it much bigger case and as there is more pieces and all seemed as okay as the first set until I went use the 18mm deep socket. Something was off with that one socket and the drive end was a wicked loose fit on my impact wrench and tried 3 different 3/8 tools with it too. Loose enough on all that the socket would fall off when I gave the wrench a good shake.

Now I really wasn't satisfied with that as all my other impact sockets no matter what brand have much more secure fit so I called them and they happily said they would replace the socket in question note 3/8 drive 18MM deep and they sent me instead an 11/16 deep which wasn't satisfactory to me as a substitute, Now this ensued an entire months worth of runaround CS phone calls and emails which first promised a correct replacement and then vague responses telling me I have received what replacement they have sent and end of discussion no matter how many times I have explained its wasn't a correct replacement part

So buyer beware with this company and read the warranty how they will make one replacement

I give EASTWOOD total thumbs down after my second transaction

In the other hand, Tekton is famous for "making it right" if there is a problem. Over the years I have bought a few things from them and visited the Pottstown store. I have been lucky not having to find out whether their customer service is good or bad. A lot of what they sell that is not house branded can be had for better prices elsewhere.

Ya I agree the Tekton impact are also good choice price is extremely reasonable especially on 3/8" shallow set. TSC has the shallow for $12.99 and the deep set for $18.99with free ship to store. and they do warranty easy enough. Just to note they are of a Cr-V where as the Eastwood/Apex offering is a Cr-Mo construction.

For the record here I have no issues with the Eastwood branded SAE set and I have used it a lot, having it for about two years now. Being all contained in one small box is nice. I did buy to have for mobility and for offsite work away from my garage with cordless impact tools. Overall is pretty ideal set for a small cordless impact like OP mentioned.

The metric set is really just as good except for my one issue. I'll get over it and maybe if I pound on the socket enough times the fit will change some :D

I went and looked and the 24 pc Metric set is not currently listed on the site anymore, and was on clearance.

I have a lot of different brands impacts sockets and my main set was Klutch from Northern bought long time ago. It's a mix CrV up to 1 inch and Cro Mo on the larger sizes.

Since I have had the tool tent we steadily sell the 11pc Great Neck CrV 1/2" deep socket set both SAE and Metric and have had a closeout TSC Job Smart in SAE. Both very well finished socket as compared to the standard (not Pro)HF's that I have too. They are extremely thick whether that be good or bad right

I have new ITC coupon for the HF 1/2 shallows at $9.99 each set

As long as throwing options out there the HF 37pc impact set for something inexpensive like around $25 with coupon and has both SAE and Metric in 3/8 and 1/2 sizes along with extension bars and an drive adapter And even though it kind of weird on the metric sizing overall is not too bad for a kit. I pitched a few them at the tool tent. But no deep sockets.

OP lets us know where you go with this :D
