Just looking for a hobby grade set of ratchets with flex heads. I ran across Eastwood tools. They seem to be on par with Pittsburg pro as far as looks go. Of course the harbor freight tools would be an easier exchange for broken tools. Eastwood requires shipping the tool and a copy of your receipt. Not really a big deal to me as I dont abuse my tools, so I dont break anything often. Any of you using Eastwood ratchets?

I’ve never used the Eastwood but Carlyle ratchets on sale are hard to beat

I just got one today, not a bad ratchet. I like the push button lock and it is 72 tooth. Had to grease it because it was dry but time will tell about the durability.

Looks like they are made by William tools. William is a Taiwanese ratchet OEM to many brands.

For budget ratchets, I recommend the Titan flex heads made in Taiwan. Available via Amazon and at O'Reillys Auto Parts if there's one near you. Make sure you check the COO, some of the Titan ratchets are made in China, not sure about their quality.

I saw those Eastwood ratchets in an online ad and the price made me wonder. I didn't look at their shipping rates. Maybe that's a factor. But I'm always interested in hearing people's experience with their tools. I'm quite curious how those ratchets pan out.

The price on Amazon with "free" shipping is the same as Eastwood with shipping. I was ordering stuff from Amazon anyway so I took the chance. For 24.00 it feels like a solid ratchet. But like I said time will tell.
