Eastwood is 99% Asian imports marked up way too much. No reason to buy anything they sell as it can usually be found cheaper elsewhere.

I'm looking at a set of zero degree offset wrenches by Eastwood. Any thoughts on quality?

Just be aware. A lot of tools they offer come and then go over time.

My only issue with Eastwood tools was with a warranty claim.I bought two nice cro mo3/8" impact socket sets with good hard storage case and I do like them they are APEX group tools, But they no longer carry them and their CS they gave me a cold shoulder on a proper replacement of one piece from the metric set I had bought.

Any other brand suggestions? I see Capri makes a set similar. Would like to stay away from china made. Taiwan is fine. Can't afford US steel at the moment.

They have, in my opinion, done a lot of good for the hobby br bringing a lot of tools together in a catalog. Many of the tools were relatively unavailable to the hobbies years ago.

Having said that, their products are hobbies quality at best, and many are available at lower prices elsewhere.

Virtually everything is imported, if that matters to you.

Occasionally, I will buy a low buck ratchet out of curiosity. Just something I sometimes do. Anyway, the Eastwood ratchet was listed at a very low price and I thought it might be a way to gauge the quality of their tools. It was all fine and dandy until it calculated the shipping charge. That ended my curiosity.

The label appears to say "made in Taiwan" and the price seems reasonable.

Taiwan makes great quality tools for the money. Tools made in China are best avoided.

That said, the same Taiwanese wrenches are sold under many other brand names if you poke around. Not sure you're going to do a whole lot better than that pricing.

Like any other tool suppliers ..........it’s variable.
Sales and free shipping are common.................

Their :

the powder kit works well for DIY coating. Reasonable learning curve. Done it home for 15 years. Home built oven the size of 50 gallon trash can.

shrinker stretcher kits work well for reasonable price

the bench double flare kit is often mentioned in the GJ, I have one works great again at reasonable price.

the 175 MIG for $475 shipped with 3 year warranty is hard to beat. ( with spool gun)

I like some of their paint products as well.

I use their epoxy and urethane paints, I also bought the 1/2 HP buffer and supply kit that is no longer available. Now you have to buy the buffer and the supplies separately.

Some of their tools are just relabeled stuff from Horrible Fright (Welding panel clamps being one, with a 400% markup). Their paints are relabeled Hirsch products.

The Capri items I have are quite good. They also offer free shipping and rewards points too if you order from capritools.com

I bought their 7 piece Autobody kit. $20 delivered. However it was a couple hours with belt sander to smooth the hammers and dollies but for $20, and I only needed a heel dolly.
Bought Bead roller from Eastwood, works fine after the frame is reinforced,,,I was aware of this ahead of time
Their epoxy primer is ok, for cheap epoxy my first choice is Kirker. Great epoxy needed I buy AzkoNobel brand. Harder and resistant to everything.

I have used their flaring kit and it's great and priced in the buy, Customer service for return was great (it's bench mounted only but better than the $300 mastercool set I have), Their tubing bender is great, their tubing pliers is great. I have their digital torque ratchet and it's a bit confusing to use but is working well so far. and have ordered small misc items and they were good. No experience with the wrench the OP was asking...

I am not sure where all the people gets their perceived / programmed view of Eastwood's tool here ( I have always wonder as well)... might be lingering over from the COO days. Not sure, seems like a taboo subject when some one mention Eastwood.

I have the Capri set (and these look identical and are made in Taiwan) and they appear to be very nice. Most likely the same manufacturer makes the tool for both. Unfortunately I’ve not used them much yet, nor have I had to put a lot of torque on them, but I’m happy with the very limited use they have seen and I would buy again. The price at Eastwood is significantly cheaper as well, so that’s a win.
