I bought a set of speed hex keys from them, and am beyond impressed. I am just wondering who made them.

I ordered from there once & it seemed to take forever to get it.
(20 yrs ago though)
Bought a body hammer & never use it. (I have snap-on hammers too)
I think some of their stuff is harbor freight quality.
Some of their other stuff may be good...depends on what you are looking for.

If you're just looking at a plain hammer, get it anywhere the price is right.
Eastwing makes good made in USA hammers.
Martin is supposed to be a good body hammer & bodyman tools.

I bought the Eastwood Stainless Steel Trim & Tack "U" Notch Pry Tool after using one at a friends shop during an audio installation.

I couldn't find any COO info, but it's well made and has a nice feel to it.

It came in real handy when the new garage fridge arrived and we had to remove the emblem to change the door swing. The emblem was stuck on good and this popped it off without any damage to the painted finish.

I think their current crop of Grey/blue tools are generic taiwanese fare. They can be a bargain on sale with free shipping or not much of one at regular price. I picked up a screwdriver set and hook/pick set awhile back. The handles are comfortable but, the blades are a little on the light side. the picks are fine. I don't think the line is anything to get excited over and you could probably do better with a decent Gearwrench sale but, they're another option and I've always had good service from eastwood.

I've got their shrinker/stretcher, economy bead roller and their double flare brake line tool. All of it works great. For canucks ... you've 2 options. If you catch their stuff on e-bay .. yep, it's Matt selling it... and the shipping is fixed, with no duty or at your door charges. Or you can order from http://hawkesauto.com/ .. their canuck distributor. Very good service from them .. but shipping costs more to buy from them inside Canada than to get the same thing straight from Matt on ebay. They do keep their own inventory, so when the US store is out of stock ... Hawkes might still have what you need.

Professur - I agree. Hawkes Auto is very good to deal with.

It looks like Hawkes is gone.
A place called maidstonecoatings.com shows up on the Eastwood international distributor page. It turns out that they're a few miles from where Hawkes was/is.

Bummer.

Their screwdriver set won a comparo test and I bought them as a result. I think they are extremely good quality.

I can order anything from Eastwood too. Call them up or go online and they ship it to me. Why would I pay a mark up to buy it from the Matco guy? Does he get really good discounts?

Probably not, seems like most pro wrenches on this site use tool trucks for convenience and ease of warranty, they don't seem to care what the cost is.
