Ouch... I was really hoping for the $1000 mark... $200 more isn't a huge deal but when you've been planning on something at a certain price and it comes higher it changes the deal.

After a lot of questions on here and social media we put together a video showing how the internals of the scroll work as well as the difference between a piston-style compressor to further describe the technology. Mark is one of our Product Engineers that has been developing and testing the compressor and has been kind enough to answer your questions through our [email protected] emails.

When these arrive to our headquarters here in Pottstown, PA Mark and the rest of our Engineers and QC team will be uncrating and testing every compressor before repackaging and sending out to the customer. Thanks for all of the interest so far!

Man, I missed the boat on this. I’m exactly the market for this kind of product. I have a 1500sqft shop for me to play with my cars. I want a compressor to paint, sand, blast, and air tools but am not running a 4 person shop. Been looking at 80 gal 2 stage and building a shed off of my shop to keep it s would allow me to keep the compressor inside.

Unfortunately I did not know about he pre sale till today (needed a compressor today and started researching again). I’d pull the trigger right now but with delivery in March I might as well hold off till some reviews start rolling in

Sorry you missed it! We'll get updates out as soon as we have a better date of delivery for the next batch. Thanks to all that got in on the Pre-Sale. We can't wait to get them in your hands!

I see my card was charged last week, do you have a delivery schedule yet on the first batch?

Thanks

That is not very good to know. Most reputable companies make a point of: "Your card will not be charged until your order ships". I hope they have shipped. Like many, I am waiting for the reviews. If this is all they say, there will most likely be others on the market, soon.

Went to order one and see they killed the pre-sale deal even though it is months from shipping. Oh well, if Eastwood is doing these you will soon see similar from Harbor Freight and elsewhere. Without an incentive, people should at least wait for real world reviews to start coming in. The reviews here are more legit as Eastwood often deletes negative reviews on their own site.

Hi,

Our customer service team should have information about shipping status of your order. We also email a shipping confirmation once an order ships normally. Shoot an email to: [email protected] with your order number and a brief description and they can get you an update ASAP.

any news on a 110 volt option ?

or a 210 volt ?

This compressor is a 220/240 input.

Have an Atlas Copco and work and it is nice that you can have a conversation standing next to it while the tank is filling. I myself would be more inclined to isolate a regular unit rather than bear the cost of of a rotary unit. This scroll unit is affordable and may be a decent option

I was seriously considering this compressor but see the price is now $2000, sheesh I really don’t think it’s worth all that and at this point would rather save a whole bunch of money and go with something bigger (80 gallon 5-7.5hp) and little more noisy for less ****♂️

It's showing $1800 for me... still $1200 a year ago to $1800 now? A 50% price increase!?!?! Good luck Eastwood! Tapout, just wait for Eastwood to put them on a clearance sale...

You’re right, right after I commented I looked and saw it does say 1800. I coulda swore it was 2k the other day, but still I feel like I could get much more for that kind of money

It was priced at 1999 a few weeks ago, for that kind of money go buy a real compressor.

What's wrong with the Eastwood that doesn't make it a "real compressor"?

So what the price jumped, there isn't another scroll comp out there right now even remotely in the same price range.

My understanding is scroll vs non scroll. And non scroll seem to more common thus considered normal. Not so much Eastwood vs the other brands. But with traditional compressors in that price range seems cfm is much better. But of course the noise changes.

I'm normally most probably not quiet so accurate most of the times. Although with odds these days if I keep talking I am bound to say a thing or two correct.

I mean I get it but it's definitely a real compressor. It's small and mobile, incredibly quiet and puts out damn good air for it's size.

On top of that East wood has fantastic CS which is really important for a new product range

Also I'm headed back to Seattle in a few weeks to see family after I moved so hopefully the weather holds up

2Grand (Eastwood charges $250 to ship) is a good budget for any other import compressor company. Tons of 5HP 80 Gal units in that range and even well below with substantially better output and a higher pressure range. Puma, Bel-Aire, Atlas Copco, Chicago Pneumatic, Campbell Hausefeld. Take your pick.

Anything close to the same noise level?

Yes you can get an 80gal with more CFM but it'll be louder and stationary. There are tradeoffs for both.

Granted most people here will have a garage/shop and plumb lines in so it's irrelevent. However it is just silly for him to claim it's not a real compressor when it's clearly punching above it's weight class

Look for larger motor pulleys.

Generally any pump with an RPM of between 600-800 is going to be pretty good on noise with 600-700 being ideal.

This one doesn't look too bad.

When I first got my Eastwood scroll compressor, it was spitting water out the shut off valve. I tightened fittings to fix that. I was a bit annoyed at the lack of QC, but moved on. Fast forward 6 months and today I noticed that the compressor is spitting oil out the drain valve. I installed an electronic automatic drain that vents out any tank water periodically, and I just noticed that there is lots of oil in the discharged water -- to the point where it is an oily mess on the dip pan the compressor is sitting on. Anyone else experience this or know what's going on? I don't know what the capacity of oil is for this compressor, but at this rate it's not going to last long....
