Without experience I would tend to agree with Mopar. Eastwood has some good quality stuff but most of the hardware is re-badged from other makers and therefore Eastwood has a mark up in their price. And Miller is top quality.

Buy a Miller, Lincoln, or ESAB, you will get a better product and support for years down the line.
few more bucks you can have the miller diversion.be a large upgrade imho

I aggree with you the miller would be the preferred machine. I was just asking if anyone had the Eastwood TIG and what they thought of it.
I have a small Miller MIG, but need a small TIG that will do alum.
DO these inverter TIG machines have a Hi-frequency for Aluminum, I guess they must have???
specs look good for home use, duty cycle isn't bad at 150 amps, has high frequency start, and square wave for aluminum. hopefully someone has actually used it and can chime in. also appears it can be tried for 30 days. looks like a pretty good deal, just wonder how it would hold up compared to a miller unit considering it has a 3 year warranty, may not be a bad choice.
