Imo have to have a lot of confidence in your building structure to allow it to share the load. I couldn't watch it for (?) reason but scrolled thru and its a nice bit of design and fabrication.

I put one in my shop and it entailed digging a 4ft cube out of the earth and pouring a new monolith so the soil is the only moment-bearing element.

I think I spent about 50 tape measure sessions finalizing dimensions before I committed to the height, length of arm, and centerpoint in the shop.

We built 2 at my dad’s shop. The building was over built with the idea of installing them, trusses doubled in the middle.

I built one in my garage that is anchored into the concrete foundation wall. It took about a Saturday.
