Went to change out the black plugs in my kitchen after painting it. The wife wanted white ones. Anyway switch out 3 receptacles, turn back on that breaker and now the stove had no power. Found the faulty plug with a tester and took it apart. Turned out the hot wire had broken behind the box.

Cut up the wall, lowered the box a few inches and re wired it. Patched the drywall and will put another coat of mud on it soon. So much for a simple job...

How does a faulty outlet cause the stove to stop working? A stove should be on a 240v separate circuit!
