A 26" Sears top and bottom chest I picked up at an estate sale was nice, no damage, and fairly clean, but it was plain. Whatever trim it had was removed or didn't come with it. And that much red was just not working for me.

I considered painting the handles, but then came up with the idea to use actual metal- aluminum metal tape meant for HVAC ductwork instead. A large roll of it was $7 and is enough to do about two, possibly three tool boxes like the set I did. It's easy to cut overlength, apply to the handle and roll over the top and bottom edges, then use a single edge utility knife blade to trim it to exact length. Add some simple black liners and the tool box looks significantly better and newer than it was.

Now what to DO with it? I don't actually need this one.

The plain red wouldn't bother me, but the bling DOES look better.

Ahh, the thought of having tool boxes with no need for...

Yeah, slightly jealous of that.

It does qualify as bling, but within reason. Since every other box has aluminum trim, it stood out and looked wrong.
