Eave Trim Help

Hello,

I am working on removing the sliding door and trimming it in for a garage door.
I also want to box in and add some sort of eave vent.

So I removed the eave trim so I can get to the door track.
What would be a good or proper way to finish trim the eaves as to not have the rough edge of the roof showing or atleast seal the ridges of the roof?

Here is the eave trim piece I found but mounts under the roof and leaves the ridges in the roof open.

no clue, but i am interest in hearing the idea as im sick of painting my eves.

I've never seen a situation like that in the photos, but experience has shown using a 2x fascia board holds up much better than a simple 1x stick of lumber. You can also use galv. flashing to properly shed the water off the fascia trim board, and should hold up for many years if you don't skimp on the paint.

I am going to try and check the price of Cobra fascia flow eaves today.
It's maybe of PVC and has mesh screen to allow air flow into the eaves and acts as the eave board.
I guess I will just buy rolls of closure strips for the ridges in the metal roof.
I know I can't get it completely air and water tight but want to keep birds out.

I will go this way or use a 2x fascia board and I found aluminum 4in wide eave vents.

This is what covered the eave before. Just a piece of metal trim which birds can get under.

If you have a metal building supplier near you they can make a custom piece of eve trim. Just measure the size and basic shape and they can do the rest. I've had a lot of that done and they can usually do it while I wait.
